Perturbation Theory Eigenvalue Sensitivity Analysis with Monte Carlo Techniques

چکیده
Methodologies to calculate adjoint-based first-order-linear perturbation theory sensitivity coefficients with multigroup Monte Carlo methods are developed, implemented, and tested in this paper. These techniques can quickly produce sensitivity coefficients for all nuclides and reaction types for each region of a system model. Monte Carlo techniques have been developed to calculate the neutron flux moments and/or angular fluxes necessary for the generation of the scattering terms of the sensitivity

A new concept of Monte Carlo kinetics parameter calculation using complex-valued perturbation
A new Monte Carlo method to calculate two types of kinetics parameters, the effective delayed neutron fraction (eff) and the prompt neutron generation time (), is proposed in this paper. The new method uses perturbation techniques in which extra delayed neutrons or a fictitious 1/v absorber is added to the unperturbed system to calculate the eff or , respectively. In the new method, the per...
متن کاملEstimating the Number Of Factors And Lags in High Dimensional Dynamic Factor Models
In this paper, we derive identification results for the number of factors and lags in high dimensional dynamic factor models using eigenvalue methods. The new approach does not require using the complex valued spectral covariance matrix and can be easily performed using a generalization of the traditional scree plot methodology. We employ RandomMatrix Theory and the properties of the Stieltjes ...
متن کاملEfficient Design and Sensitivity Analysis of Control Charts Using Monte Carlo Simulation
The design of control charts in statistical quality control addresses the optimal selection of the design parameters such as the sampling frequency and the control limits; and includes sensitivity analysis with respect to system parameters such as the various process parameters and the economic costs of sampling. The advent of more complicated control chart schemes has necessitated the use of M...
متن کاملSensitivity Analysis of Resonant Circuits
— We use first-order perturbation theory to provide a local linear relation between the circuit parameters and the poles of an RLC network. The sensitivity matrix, which defines this relationship, is obtained from the systems eigenvectors and the derivative of its eigenvalues. In general, the sensitivity matrix is related to the equilibrium fluctuations of the system. In particular, it may be u...
متن کاملSensitivity Analysis of a Wideband Backward-wave Directional Coupler Using Neural Network and Monte Carlo Method (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this paper sensitivity analysis of a wideband backward-wave directional coupler due to fabrication imperfections is done using Monte Carlo method. For using this method, a random stochastic process with Gaussian distribution by 0 average and 0.1 standard deviation is added to the different geometrical parameters of the coupler and the frequency response of the coupler is estimated. The appli...
